I found taking photos in the studio was a blast. It was a fun atmosphere and the groups I was in both times were really into the experience. It was different being able to control the situation with lighting & poses and being able to direct things. I wish we had a little more time, I was just getting used to it. For the first shoot we basically just moved the lamps around for lighting, but by the second shoot we got to switch backgrounds to a black more dramatic style which I preferred and also we switched the lighting to accentuate that style by casting shadows to make it look more dramatic and it changed Ahmed's friendly appearance. I mostly fooled around with the zoom instead of wide angle and I also switched shutter speed to decrease blur.

Motion Research Ass 5

Alright so I used a shutter speed of "05 for the fast motion pictures except the studio pictures were around 1/6. For the frozen in place pictures, inside the metro I used a light shutter speed of about 1/30 but when I photographed my dog outside I was able to turn it up to around 1/100 to 1/150 because it did not darken as much as the indoor image. I'm guessing this is because inside the shutter can only take in a certain amount of light while the shutter is still open whereas when I was outside there was an abundance of more natural light. I find the metro image that is brighter is very interesting because the way it is framed makes the metro look like a toy train :P As for the doggy shots, his name is Shadow, I just called him to go outside and played with him while snapping pictures. I especially like the one where he is about to catch his ball, his ears are funny.
