Assignment 4

Eye Change
From Fun with Photoshop Ass 4

Went into quick mask mode, used paintbrush to select eye, then went to select menu, inversed. Then created another layer and went to color balance and customized eye to light blue.

Scary Television
From Fun with Photoshop Ass 4

Used the burn tool for making the eye black. The used lasso and selected area and added noise. Then used craquelure by selecting face with lasso. Then used dark strokes to darken area between cracks and noise.

Glow
From Fun with Photoshop Ass 4

Went to image and changed curves input and output and lowered for brighter glow effect.

Supernatural
From Fun with Photoshop Ass 4

Played with hue and saturation to make yellow, and then deepened shadows around picture. Then I put down the output in the levels option under image, finally used dodge tool around eye so the yellow glow would lighten against the darkness.

I like the eye change one the most because I finally figured out how to change eye color and given more time and a better picture I could have made a cooler eye color change, but I find the supernatural picture the coolest because it seems the most "professional"

Assignment 3

I'm Feeling Lucky

Tint & Highlights without keeping original color

Sharpened Image times 3 :P

And Finally Sepia, Sharpen with some fill light and graduated tinted to a dark shade with a lighter feather:

My favorite is the last one just because it's a contrast between light and dark. I also like the 3 times sharpened image, it looks like an image you see in action movie when the glass gets super defined in slow motion.

Irving Penn

Irving Penn believed that anything could be art and his still-life images are proof of that. He took photographs from fruit to cigarette butts and vases or dishes and made them visually artistic. What makes these photographs interesting is how he arranges everyday things into different formations and simple backgrounds and he makes them unique.

Edward Burtynsky

He is famous for taking photographs of landscapes affected by industrialization. His scenes depict the effect humans have on nature and how we have torn up once beautiful land to build cities and buildings of our own. These are interestingly because we experience opposite emotions when viewing his work, disgust at the industrialized deformed landscape and yet astonishment at the beauty of the complex images.
